Pastor

Richard E. Allen, Jr.

Richard became Pastor of Mamaroneck UMC in July of 2006. Having grown up near Charleston, in the lowcountry of South Carolina, Richard graduated from Wofford College before earning his Masters of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School.  After working briefly in the New York Annual Conference, he led six churches in South Carolina (in Marlboro County, Myrtle Beach, and Columbia) until June of 2000, when he moved to New York City.  While in Manhattan, he was the President of The Bridge Fund of New York before going on staff of Christ Church for four years, leading outreach ministries and stewardship.  Richard is married to Lynne, a career consultant, and he has two grown sons, Matthew and Nathan.  He enjoys pastoral ministry, hiking, and photography.  You may reach him by calling the church office or by emailing  richard@mamaroneckumc.org.

Minister of Christian Formation

Sabrina  Johnson Chandler

Sabrina Joined Mamaroneck UMC as Minister of Christian Formation in August 2009.  She is a native New Yorker who was raised in the Bronx and attended public schools through to the Bronx H.S. of Science.  Sabrina graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Adult Education & Human resource Development from Fordham University in New York.  She is currently completing a Masters of Divinity degree at New York Theological Seminary.  In her 'secular' life, Sabrina serves as Director of Human Resources for Westchester Community College in Valhalla, N.Y.  She has been married to Marvin, a Human Services professional, for 15 years.  Sabrina enjoys singing, listening to all types of music, connecting with friends on Twitter, and being in ministry although not in that order!
