In our worship we follow the historic calendar
of the Christian year, observing its seasons and holy days. We do so because it is structured
on the life of Christ. By marking time based on Christ's life, we journey with him and allow
our lives to be marked by his.
During the season of Lent and Easter a midweek
Vesper Service is held each Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. Ancient and modern music, scripture,
and prayers guide the congregation during this meditative service in our candlelit sanctuary.
During the Advent
and Christmas season, we celebrate with our children in a worship designed especially for
toddlers and young children. The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is the family
service that retells the story of Christmas in word and song. The Nativity of Our Lord
is a candlelight service with choir, sermon, and the celebration of Holy Communion.
