Welcome!
We of Mamaroneck United Methodist Church greet you in the name and spirit of our
leader, Jesus Christ. We’re delighted that you’ve found us on the web, and we invite you to
experience in person the rich heritage of our community of faith. Our church’s presence as a
community of faith in Southern Westchester County predates the American Revolution, and over the
course of more than two centuries we have sought to be beacon of faith and hope for the
generations that have found their way into our doors. Ours is a proud heritage of lively worship
and committed service to both God and neighbor.
We are proud of our past, and we are equally excited about our future. We are a
congregation committed to excellence in worship, education and service, and our doors are always
open to anyone seeking to foster the spiritual life through these means.
The people of Mamaroneck United Methodist Church represent the wide diversity of the
people of God. We come from all walks of life and from every continent and region of the world.
We don't all think alike. Some of us have been working at the Christian life for a very long
time, while others of us have come into faith’s door only recently. What binds us together is a
commitment to the mission of Jesus who calls us to "love God with all your heart, and with
all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as
yourself." We find that this compelling purpose and mission animates all that we do.
Our hope is that this introduction on our website will give you a flavor of our life
together. However, the best way to discover who we are is to worship, study, or serve with us. I
invite you to come and see for yourself the possibilities that God opens to each of us and all
of us together, as we seek to become our very best selves, made in the image of a God who loves
us all.
Remember, our hearts, our minds, and our doors are always open.
