Here at MUMC we have several small groups that meet throughout the year.  Small groups usually comprise of less than 12 people who meet on a regular basis to share God's word and encourage each other; show Christ's love and care for our neighbors; and/or to participate in mutual interests or hobbies.

Spiritual/Care-Based Small Groups

• Prayer Chain Ministry         

Prayer is a powerful, active response to the needs in people’s lives.  It is a means of surrounding others with love and hope during times of fear and despair. Click here to learn more about this powerful ministry.

• Shepherd's Staff         

Offers care to members who are hospitalized, in nursing homes, shut-in, recently bereaved, or in need of prayer and support.  Join our Cards Ministry, Meals Ministry and/or Visitation Ministry.  For more information, please contact the church office.

• Ushers & Greeters Ministry

Help us show the love of Christ to our visitors and members.  For more information, please contact Bill Winters or contact the church office.

• Readers for Worship

Interested in reading at the 10:00 o'clock Sunday Worship or on other special occasions?   Please email Kris Pregno or contact the church office.

• Music Ministry

Your voice will be appreciated in one or more of our choirs.  Adults, Youth and Handbell Ringers all have a vital role in helping to lea our worship.  Previous experience is not necessary---Karina is an excellent voice teacher and will help you learn while she helps you to do your best job of making a joyful music for the Lord.  Contact Karina Calabro about your interest in this ministry.

• Circuit Riders         

The Circuit Riders is our resident Christian Rock 'n' Roll Band.  They are busy playing clubs and charitable events, and recording the message of Jesus.  Read more>>

• Women's Prayer Group         

This group of women meet regularly on Saturday mornings for bible studies, praying and sharing.  For more information, please email Barbara.Merrell@Prudential.com.

Interest-Based Small Groups

• Sew 'N Sews

The Sew 'N Sews is a group of dedicated women who meet each Monday to knit and sew beautiful items that are sold at their annual Holiday Craft Fair.  The proceeds from the fair usually goes toward church related projects such as, the steeple fund, new rug in church parlor, etc.

• For Adults only

• Nicaragua Mission Team

Here is another opportunity to demonstrate faith in action.  This team have been traveling to South America extending Christ's love to the children at the El Ayudante Orphanage in Leon, Nicaragua.  Read more>>

• Food Pantry        

For families in need.  This group collects various food items, cosmetics and supplies for families in need right here in our neighborhood.  For more information  contact Carol Cauley or the church office.

• Midnight Run        

This group works with other churches in the neighborhood collecting clothing, cosmetics and supplies for the homeless in New York City.  For more information  contact the church office.
