Welcome to the Kid’s Education webpage at MUMC!  We hope you find all the information you need on this page, but if you have any additional questions, call the church office at (914) 698- 4343.

 

 We will have classes for four age groups:

 Nursery, for infants – 2 years old;

Toddlers, for children ages 3 and 4;

Early Elementary, for children in Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades;

 Older Elementary, for children in the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades.

 

Toddlers and both Early and Older Elementary children will begin in worship, share with the pastor at “The Time With Children,” and move into their classrooms downstairs in our education building from worship. Infants may begin either in worship or go directly to the Nursery (the Green Room) at 10:00 or a few minutes before. Parents should pick up their children from their classrooms after worship.

One change this year is that parents are asked to spend a few Sunday mornings in a classroom assisting one of our staff teachers. This parental involvement model for the children a commitment to education, and it will provide both added safety for the children and the teacher in the event of any crisis, as well as regular support for the teaching staff.
