Where are you in your life of faith? Are you a seeker? A
doer? Are you hungry for more knowledge, for deeper relationships, are you seeking to connect
your faith to your life as a whole?
Christian Formation opportunities for adults exist to help
you answer questions and raise new ones. Our purpose is to help you connect your faith with your
life and connect with others who are seeking to do the same thing.
All of our opportunities for spiritual formation are designed
with four goals in mind: education, discipleship, support, and relationship. Different offerings
meet one, a few, or all of these goals in different ways.
Take a moment to consider which opportunities might be best for
you:

You’re not the only one. Maybe you grew up in church, but
haven’t been back in years. Maybe you set foot in the door for the first time in your life
two months ago. Maybe you’ve been around for a long time, but are filled with questions.
Beginnings may be the place for you.
This ten-week study focuses on the central questions of the
Christian faith—Who is Jesus and why should I care? What happens when I die? How can I make a
life and not just a living?—in the supportive environment of a small group. Beginnings will
take place on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. starting October 5. We are pleased to welcome
The Reverend Clayton Miller as our leader for this course.
Everyone and every question is welcome. For more
information, or to find out how to join the next group, contact the church office (office@mamaroneckumc.org).

A recent participant from MUMC writes, “It is a big
commitment in time and effort, but it is also a life changing experience. In Disciple, I met
God and developed a better understanding of God, myself, and our relationship to each other.
It has made all the difference in my life.”
If you’re ready to seek out that experience, consider
becoming a part of this year’s Disciple Bible Study. For thirty weeks we will gather on
Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in one of our leader’s homes and explore the Scriptures
together.
If you’re interested in finding out more about this
intense, rewarding experience, email co-leaders

Faith is not something we can check off on life’s to-do list.
The Christian life invites us into an ever-growing relationship with God and one another. The
joys, graces, and challenges of it grow along with us. With this in mind, we offer this year
Jesus in the Gospels, an in-depth exploration of the life of Christ. We will explore the
differences and similarities of the four gospels, as well as attempt to understand Jesus in
the context of Judaism and the Old Testament.
This course is ideal for those adults who have already
completed Disciple Bible Study and are looking for an experience on the next level.
Javier Viera will lead this thirty-week series on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. For

On Sunday mornings from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. we hope
you will join us for lively discussion of engaging subjects on matters of faith and
contemporary life.
Pastor Richard Allen will lead us on a tour through many of the familiar and often overlooked
aspects of our life together at MUMC. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to remember
what you may have been missing!
